The age is generally counted as on 01 July 2026.

•   Minimum Age: 18 years
•   Maximum Age: 42 years

•   Computer typing: 4,000 key depressions per hour.

Stenographer

Candidates need:

•   Intermediate pass.
•   English shorthand: 80 WPM.
•   Hindi shorthand: 80 WPM.
•   English typing: 40 WPM.
•   Hindi typing: 40 WPM.

Stenographer Grade-3

Candidates need:

•   Graduation from a recognised university.
•   Knowledge of Devanagari script.
•   English shorthand: 80 WPM.
•   Hindi shorthand: 60 WPM.
•   Hindi computer typing: 6,000 key depressions/hour.
•   English computer typing: 7,000 key depressions/hour.

UKSSSC PA and Steno Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process has two main stages.

1. Written Examination

Candidates first have to appear for an objective-type written competitive examination.
