Educational Qualification & Experience

The relevant engineering fields include Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS, Hydrology or equivalent qualifications, as specified for the respective posts.

The required qualification must be from a recognized University/Institution and should be regular and full-time.

DPCC Environmental Engineer Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on the closing date of the advertisement published in Employment News.

Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC and other eligible categories will be available according to the applicable Government of NCT of Delhi/Government of India rules.

Only eligible OBC (Delhi) candidates can claim OBC reservation and age relaxation. OBC candidates from outside Delhi will be treated as UR candidates.

DPCC Environmental Engineer Selection Process 2026

The selection process is not based only on an interview. DPCC has prescribed a 100-mark shortlisting and selection framework.

The major components include:

• Percentage of marks in the minimum educational qualification

• Higher/additional qualifications

• Relevant experience in environment, pollution control or Public Health Engineering

• Master's Degree where applicable

• Performance in specified UPSC technical/engineering examinations

• Valid qualified GATE score

• Interview

Weightage

For experience, only relevant experience acquired after the prescribed minimum qualification is considered. Training, internship, teaching, academic work, fellowship and PhD research experience are not counted as regular experience where excluded by the notification.
